Fulmars at Palm Bay

20th Feb.

At Seasalter....highlights were a marsh harrier over the plots then a walk up to Castle Coote seeing c.2500 brents.......little else except a tortoiseshell butterfly near the Sportsman PH.

22nd

A drive down to Palm Bay to photograph the fulmars and anything else that came in range... I also walked across to the Captain Digby to see another half dozen although not so good for photography,
a stonechat was also on the cliff top.

Looks like they can dig out rock!

                                                                No sun this morning

As the tide was going out curlews started to arrive on the rocks below.

24th

A brighter day but a stiff cold breeze  as I was having another go at the fulmars at Palm Bay .

I stopped by the Turner Gallery which was fortunately closed enabling me toget a coffee across the road and a great view of c.80 sanderling making a hell of a noise as they fed in a corner of the harbour just below the wall.

At home a chiffchaff was feeding in the garden.
