A Walk To Castle Coote

 22nd April

A sunny morning but still the NE was blowing keeping temps down to 8 degs and very dry all month, the path full of cracks!  Saw the usual haul of birds inc, 2 cetti's, c40 linnets but 8 greylags was a bit unusual. At the Coote I saw a couple of yellow wags,  4 little terns flying about along with 2 commons but no Sandwich and only managed to see 1 dunlin. Three corn buntings were on the fence and a few times came down to the grass enabling me to get a few shots. The eider was still resident on the shingle at the western end along with a few shelduck.
