Wraik Hill Hoverflies

1st May

I had a good couple of hours here as it was a sunny day and I was hoping for something good to show up. Started at my usual starting point at the base of Pilgrims Lane spending a lot of time in front of one flowering hawthorn finding a Tawny Bee Andrena fulva, and several Orange-tailed Mining bees Andrena haemorrhoa,  several males not looking anything like the female. Tweeted for help and answered by Ian Beavis, look for a black mark on the rear tibia!
